Tonight is one of my favorite nights. But this will be the first Halloween in many years that Deb and I don’t celebrate with pumpkin lights, cider or wine in skeleton glasses, Nestle Crunch bars, brie cheese, our friends, and our friends’ kids in costumes. I’m 230 miles south of home, smack dab in the middle of fall quarter, with lots of stuff coming due, so…
At least I can post a picture of a pumpkin in a window, before I get back to my studying.
And I can remember how cool it is that perhaps Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will popularize the word “hallow” for “saint” and both words for each of the beloved departed.
Speaking of that, wow — check out this video which does an amazing job of capturing what happens in “The Forest Again” (chapter 34 of Deathly Hallows) using only clips from the first four movies: The Forest Again- Deathly Hallows. This one, too! The Forest Again: A Deathly Hallows Tribute
Okay, those made my night. That’s good enough celebration of Halloween. Wow.
P.S. Okay, there’s a whole bunch of videos of chapter 34!
